If you’re wondering who makes sodium-ion batteries, then you’ve come to the right place. Earlier this year, two new companies – Natron Energy and Altris – announced they will be putting up facilities to manufacture these batteries. These two companies plan to start mass production by 2023. In addition, both companies recently announced strategic partnerships. The Natron Energy facility will be based at Clarios’ lithium-ion Meadowbrook facility in Michigan, and once it begins mass production in 2023, it will be capable of producing 600MW of batteries a year.
